From Soul Crushing to Goal Crushing: 21 Day Fix Day 8, Total Body Cardio Fix

Note to Self: Listen to Past Mistakes!

Oh man, I had some delicious pizza at lunch today.  Meat lover’s.  So good.  Did I eat too much? You bet!  Am I sorry? Actually, yes.  Right now, especially, this counteracts my efforts and goals.  I really want to get to the end of these 21 days with a smaller belly and a lower weight.  I can’t do that if I over indulge on pizza and I know that.  I ignored all the alarms going off in my head that I would regret my eating choice and ate THREE slices anyway.  What the heck was I thinking?  Bah.  Falling back onto my first love, haha, I guess.  But, pizza won’t get me to my goals.  It’s time to focus not to give in to temptations.

I made it to the end of the day feeling actually kind of sick to my stomach.  Yeah, too much pizza, am I right?  Well, I had another choice to make.  It was late in the evening and I didn’t feel awesome.  It would have been very easy to just hang up the towel for the day and sick back and relax on the recliner.  NOT TODAY!

I made a decision to not make TWO bad choices for the day and I still got my workout done anyway.  

And I felt better when I was done.  I am actually up a full five pounds from this morning (yikes!) in water weight and probably too much food in my belly, but that won’t stay.  The only thing that will stay will be my resolve.  I have GOT to remain determined or I’m never going to meet my goals.  I can’t even imagine how awesome it would be to look in the mirror and see a trim belly with defined abs.  Or to sit down and not have belly fat spilling over my belt.  I know, I know, I’m a pretty trim guy, thankfully, but that doesn’t mean I don’t suffer from wanting to look and feel better just like everyone else. The difference now is I am making a concerted effort to put in the work to get there.

No, I won’t get there with repeated choices to eat too much pizza, but it won’t stop me forever if and when I do.  I’ll be continuing to strive for better and better choices more often than not.  Each day is a new opportunity.  Let’s make tomorrow AWESOME!
