From Soul Crushing to Goal Crushing: 21 Day Fix Day 19 Cardio Fix
I’m back in the northeast! Just about every pilot in the country comes out this direction regularly, but this time around I’m staying in a place I’ve not been before. I’m pretty thankful for new adventures in aviation. There is a reason I enjoy flying private jets and that is because of the amount of variety I get. I thrive on variety, not just in flying but also in my workouts. I need to stay interested.
I’m in the home stretch to finish the 21 Day Fix. I’m in week three and today was Cardio Fix.
Before I get to the workout, I’d like to share a few of the adventures from the day. I’m in New Jersey and it was such a beautiful day, we just had to go spend some time in nature. We went to The Celery Farm (uh, yeah – that’s a thing) first. It’s just a little nature trail and no celery to be seen. Too bad, really. But it was great to get outdoors.
I hiked a grand total of 6.5 miles today AND got my Cardio Fix done with Beachbody On Demand. Double trouble!
I also went with my pilot buddy to see the new Jason Bourne movie. You know, I had a bunch of friends saying it was not great. They kept telling me it had jerky “shake camera” throughout and that there wasn’t much of a story. It wasn’t terrible, but I think they weren’t completely off. I might recommend it to be watched at home as rental, but that’s just my opinion. There’s just not a whole lot in the theaters this summer.
21 Day Fix Cardio Fix
After all that hiking and a nice dinner at the Grand Luxe Cafe, I came back to the hotel and got my workout done. Nothing like doing an intense Cardio Fix workout on a full stomach! I just did not want to be defeated and sit in bed and zone out. It’s too important that I stay on track. Of course, I’m hoping that by doing all this (working out AND sharing it with everyone) that I can grow a fitness group where we can all be in a virtual gym together. Right now, I am supporting my efforts completely on my own. There is no one over me who is checking up on me. It’s just me. For me, that’s okay. The sky is the limit here and I look forward to working with you!
Tomorrow my pilot buddy and I are planning on going to the American Natural History Museum in New York. We’ll hitch a train and subway ride to get out there and we plan to spend the day. I’m sure I’ll have more miles logged for walking. Next up in the workout routine is the 21 Day Fix Dirty 30 workout. I’ll have to save some energy because it’s another one that will put me to work!
