From Soul Crushing to Goal Crushing: 21 Day Fix Day 14 Yoga Fix

I’m not gonna lie: It’s pretty awesome pulling up the workout calendar and seeing Yoga Fix.  This is the only active recovery workout in all of 21 Day Fix, so it’s the closest thing you get to a break throughout the whole program.  It’s fantastic to rejuvenate the muscles with stretches.  I always feel charged up after I’m done with the Yoga Fix.

This gets me thinking, though.  The more I get into my Beachbody workouts and sharing it with the world, I really want to focus on making the entire experience fun.  I thrive on lightheartedness and laughter.  One of the biggest challenges for me associating with any athleticism growing up were the personalities I came in contact with when I did.  I don’t want to take myself so seriously.  If a “play” doesn’t work just right, I don’t get bent out of shape.

I haven’t quite figured out how I want to make this fun for everyone – but that’s all part of the fun.

I get to build this up into whatever it is going to be.  If you want fitness to be rigid and strict and mean, then I’m not your guy.  I want to laugh.  I want to have fun.  I hope I can attract fun people to be a part of my team.

When I look around the world of Beachbody, I do see a lot of female coaches.  I think that’s awesome.  There are some successful male coaches, but I think the ratio favors women.  For me, it’s a little intimidating.  I worry a little bit that I won’t be able to attract as many fitness friends as a guy, because this seems to be such a female dominated arena.  For awhile, I’ve let that be a part of the reason I’ve held back.  I don’t look / act / think / interact like a girl.  I am me.

Now that I have arrived at that state of mind, it’s just a matter of getting into my groove.  In a way, I am finding myself a bit.  I am going to be working on not only my fitness and personal development, but who I am as a “brand.”.  I don’t really like to use that word, but it’s kind of the buzz word in the social media industry.  Everyone has to have a “brand”.  Well, I suppose I’ll have my own, but I won’t be setting out to create a brand.  I’m going to be setting out to be genuine, fun, fit, and friendly.  I’m sure I’ll grow along the way and with any luck, I’ll really develop into someone who will be attractive to follow.

Haha, all this comes from doing a little workout.  But, I am excited where things are headed.  I have no idea what lays ahead, but I know one thing: I’m going to have fun while I get fit.

I’d love to be fitness friends.  Come take a look at my Beachbody Shop.

Let's make fitness fun
